Lights on Afterschool - LED Art Project

Event Date:
10/23/2014 - 4:00pm to 7:00pm

Teens, join us for an electrifying e-textiles event, part of the 15th annual Lights On Afterschool, the only nationwide event celebrating afterschool programs and their important role in the lives of children, families and communities. The effort has become a hallmark of the afterschool movement and generates media coverage across the country each year. You can learn more about Lights on Afterschool here. Mayor Coleman will be joining us for a portion of this fun event.

Make bags, gloves, or patches that light up! You'll sew with conductive thread and make LEDs shine. Arrive early if you want to complete a project.

Activities will be led by students from the University of St. Thomas School of Engineering and Playful Learning Lab.
