ACES at Parkway Montessori Middle School

  • We have separate program offerings students can enroll in. One is totally in-person, the other totally online.

We know that consistency is key to impact. When the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted in-person school and programming, ACES quickly pivoted to a virtual format. Our students continued to receive exceptional math and social-emotional programming, as well as crucial peer connection and adult mentorship. As students return to the classroom after more than a year of disrupted learning, the need academic and developmental support is greater than ever. To meet this critical moment, ACES’s 2021-22 School Year programming will consists of three main components:

Small group sessions: Expert Academic Coaches lead groups of students through our hands-on, project-based curriculum. Lessons reinforce the foundational mathematics concepts students learn during the school day and supports students’ social-emotional development.

One-on-one check-ins: ACES Academic Coaches conduct one-on-one sessions with students on a weekly basis, providing individualized homework support and math skill practice, as well as mentorship and positive role modeling.

Large group field trips: Students participate in at least one large group field trip per month. From behind-the-scenes tours of the Vikings Practice Facility to a conversation with Minnesota Twins Managers, these unique experiences help learning come to life!
