Debate en Español (Spanish Debate)
-
The objective of Spanish Debate is to create a space where students that speak Spanish can feel comfortable interacting with academic topics that are relevant and significant in their native language. Students will have the opportunity to interact with adults that are native speakers of Spanish as well as academic texts in Spanish while debating about a chosen topic (Are social networks safe and useful for society?), which will improve their academic vocabulary and confidence in their native language. Students also gain other useful skills such as how to work on a team, and meet other Spanish speakers in the Twin Cities!
