JA LaunchU

JA LaunchU!, helps young people grades 8th-12th develop an entrepreneurial skillset, boost their college applications, and make some money in the process. Students need no prior experience – we provide them with all the necessary tools, and even assist them with getting investment and selling their products.

• Students will form teams to grow a product from idea to reality. The LaunchU! cohort will meet once a week at the JA North office, with teams working together outside of that time to progress their company. Students are also expected to attend several events where they will raise money for their enterprises and sell their products.
• Other than growing their skillset and earning money, students will also enjoy a stronger college application, the chance to get college scholarships, and could even maintain their business after the program ends. Those who graduate from the program will receive a $500 stipend and could be eligible for college credit.

Applications due October 9th. The program is scheduled to start on October 17th and conclude at the end of April 2023.
