Kadet Workshop - ART! A Tool for Building Change

Event Date:
01/27/2018 - 10:00am to 1:00pm

The Kadet Program of the Kitty Andersen Youth Science Center (KAYSC) at the Science Museum of Minnesota is designed to introduce middle and high school students to the STEM (Science Technology Engineering & Math) Justice framework and activities of the KAYSC. In "ART! A tool for building change," participants will explore the universal power art has to communicate and spark ideas. In this workshop, you will develop an understanding of how artists and engineers both use the design process in their creations, with a focus on how artists engineer their art with messages of social change. At the end of the workshop, we will create art using any form of art you would like to convey your thoughts through.

If you are an artist, your a scientist - come find out why.

Space for this workshop will be limited to the first ( 15 ) sign up, so please make sure to fill out every part of this form!
